Comments on: Build a Better Philosophy of Life in These Trying Times: Take My Course on Coherent Worldview-Building! https://www.richardcarrier.info/archives/16652 Announcing appearances, publications, and analysis of questions historical, philosophical, and political by author, philosopher, and historian Richard Carrier. I’ve taken several and in every instance I had a fundamental insight and/or a much richer understanding of the various topics. Dr. Carrier was always incredibly responsive to questions from the group and his answers not only addressed the question that was asked but usually also answered the question that should have been asked. While he can excoriate apologists with embarassing ease, no question was ever met with anything other than a clear desire to help teach the material and critical thinking as well.

The new price offered here is much better than on the previous platform and Google groups has a much improved UI and should avoid any technical issues as well. It’s nice when awareness of the tech disappears and one can just focus on the experience.

I’m a dad of two little kids so the flexibility to pop in and out and review material as needed was a great benefit to my schedule.

One question I had is will we be able to access any of the course material (texts/questions) after the course is complete?

Thanks again and stay safe!

I’m sure I’ve already pointed you to this before. But you are looking for my article on Moral Ontology.

Neither Craig nor Kurtz have ever worked out a coherent ontology of imperative propositions at all, much less moral ones. So it’s no surprise you can’t find any from them.

(Asking because I’v just seen a debate between Billy Craig and a humanist – Paul Kurtz or Shook – I furget -whu seem at loss how t ansr.).
