all the relevant scholarship on historicity

The course is an intro to the debates to ground you in how to find, read, and understand further arguments like those. It uses a sample of them to do that.

But if what you need is an up to date list of the relevant scholarship directly on the question (pro and con) then you need my book Obsolete Paradigm (2025) which has entire chapters on this (and here I mean only peer reviewed academic discussion, not the infinite tribblehoard of internet stuff, which is impossible to list and almost all worthless)

As I mentioned in another comment a couple weeks ago, this issue is blowing my fucking mind and I am obsessed with digging deeper into mythicism. I’d love an exhaustive reading list on this topic, but even more broadly I’d love a bibliography that sort of puts together the pieces of the NT puzzle in general. I am reading Trobisch’s book now, and I want to grasp the whole narrative story from Marcion forward. Keep up the amazing work, I feel like it is relevant beyond just ivory towers. Peace.
