There’s been religion here in the past but that’s not the same thing as actually following Christ. What I see in American “church” history is people using the name of Christ to do dumb things…just like the majority of the rest of “church” history.

The USA is not a Christian state; it was a majority Christian territory and thereby can be described as a Christian nation.
