I just don’t have any skills or interest in those kinds of games. So trying to gerrymander ways for me to play them doesn’t rate.

I know you said you wouldn’t play any collection based games, but some of my magic playing friends are fond of “Cube Drafting”, which requires no investment in collecting on the players part. (We have put together a best-of of MTG, we draft a subset of the cards to make decks, we clash decks, we return the cards to the pool etc). Would that fit into the “card-games-that-are-not-collection-based” category?
