Hard to say how many. But whether any, that is certain.

The number has grown from maybe five or six of us to now over forty. Some of those added were already doubters or willing to admit doubt plausible, some because I made it acceptable to, others even before that. But many were persuaded to either conclusion by my work. It resulted even in a second peer reviewed study corroborating mine. And no peer reviewed studies yet against.

Well… did you?

Of course the “List of Historians” has grown, but how can one know whether it was your work that was responsible for that…

Sheffield-Phoenix, the publishing house of the University of Sheffield (UK). I sought four peer review reports from major professors of New Testament or Early Christianity, and two have returned their reports, approving with revisions, and those revisions have been made. Since two peers is the standard number for academic publications, we can proceed. Sheffield’s own peer reviewers have also approved the text and their revision requests have been satisfied. Two others missed the assigned deadline, but I’m still hoping to get their reports and I’ll do my best to meet any revisions they require as well.

Expect it this June.

I don’t know. They should have sent me the proof a month ago. I’m prodding them again (as I’ve done several times already) to see what’s with the delay. I have no control over this, though. Unfortunately I’m just twiddling my thumbs waiting along with everyone else.

As I’ve said elsewhere, it is now expected in April (according to my publisher; it’s wholly out of my hands now). But I can’t be sure, as I have yet to receive the galleys.
